Materials

  • Four boxes with commands in them and red circles on lids
    • First box has one action and one object (close the door)
    • Second box has two actions (clap and run).
    • Third box has two actions and one object ( jump up, run and close the door).
    • Fourth box has two actions and two objects (run to the peg, put on your coat).
    • Fifth box ‘IF–THEN’ as described in the computer section.
  • 4 pencils and paper for the first presentation.

Bridge between function games and reading analysis and reading practice.

Presentation

Write out a command for the child to interpret

Exercise

The child works on using the commands from the boxes. Reads and interprets.

Second Exercise

The child places the verb symbol over the ‘doing words’. This is a red circle.
