- Boxes of cards with pictures of a variety of objects with phonetic names
- Phonetic reading slips of each object’s name
- There is no connection between the pictures and except perhaps their names

The Teacher
Presentation
- Set up work space (either a rug, a chaki, or a table)
- Teacher gives the picture cards to the child to spread out.
- The name of each object is given to the child if the child does not know them already
- Teacher gets a handful of slips, each with the name of the object of the picture inside of it, and asks child to pick one out.
- Teacher prompts the child to read the slip
- When the child reads the slip, the teacher directs him to lay it underneath the correct picture
- Teacher would continue with the other pictures and slips of paper. If the child comprehends, he/she may continue the exercise by self
Exercise
Prompt the child to practice by himself. (Make sure he knows the name of every object in the pictures)
