Setup a location in the room with shelves and several books of various types. Then, introduce the children regarding how to use the corner and take care of the books.
- Show the correct way to hold a book.
- Show the correct way to turn pages.
- Get a droplet jar. Fill with water. Place droplet on mini-sponge. Touch the sponge with index finger and then turn the page starting with the upper right corner. Show how to gently turn the page with touch but not by pulling the page or turning it too fast.
- Handle the book with love and respect, treating it as a unique treasure that holds many precious gifts.
- Encourage them to use the books regularly.
